Even if the blog “Letters to the Island” is sleeping, the novel is a work in progress and the amount of information that came in long hours of research is enormous…
soon you will receive a list of the books I read lately on the late 19th century and the South Pacific in reference to the family and politics of the time.

And in the meanwhile  I have to just patiently go on writing!

We are online with  letterstotheisland.net since January 21, 2011… a blog to surf and serve the history of the Pacific islanders.

Due to my family-related passion for the Polynesian people I am writing a story about the childhood of Margaret Brander, who was born on December 31, 1856 on the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia.

The blog hopefully will motivate the Islanders as well as friends and experts to contribute to this story, recalling this time and age of the second half of the 19th century in the South Pacific via letterstotheisland.net
